Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The International Journal of Law and Jurisprudence (e-ISSN: 2255-1824) welcomes original and unpublished scholarly manuscripts in the broad field of law and jurisprudence. The journal accepts research articles, review articles, doctrinal and theoretical studies, comparative legal studies, case analyses, and other scholarly contributions that offer a meaningful contribution to legal research and discussion. Manuscripts should address a clearly defined research problem or legal issue and should present a coherent, well-supported, and academically rigorous analysis.
Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original and have not been published previously or submitted simultaneously to another journal. All sources, including books, journal articles, legislation, judicial decisions, treaties, reports, and electronic resources, must be properly acknowledged and cited consistently. Plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabrication, falsification, and other forms of academic misconduct are strictly unacceptable. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for the use of copyrighted material where required and for ensuring the accuracy of all citations and references.
Manuscripts should be written in clear and formal academic English and should be carefully proofread before submission. A manuscript should normally contain a suitable title, abstract, keywords, introduction, main discussion or analysis, conclusion, and appropriate references or citations. The structure may be adapted according to the nature of the contribution. All authors should be correctly identified at the time of submission, and the corresponding author must confirm that all listed authors have approved the manuscript and agreed to its submission.
Submitted manuscripts are subject to an initial editorial assessment to determine their suitability, originality, scope, and academic quality. Manuscripts considered suitable may be sent for peer review before a final editorial decision is made. Authors should disclose any conflict of interest, funding support, ethical approval, or other relevant information where applicable. Where research involves human participants or confidential information, authors must ensure compliance with applicable ethical and legal requirements.
Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee publication. The final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection rests with the editorial board and is based on the manuscript’s academic quality, originality, relevance, and review outcome. By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm their agreement to comply with the journal’s Author Guidelines, publication ethics, peer-review procedures, and applicable copyright requirements.
