E-Commerce and the Electronic Contract: A Legal Study

Abstract

E-commerce currently plays an important role in the development of countries due to the way it facilitates commercial transactions and saves effort, money and time, particularly given the contribution of the digital transformation revolution to this development.

Algeria has established a direct legislative framework for this type of commerce through Law No. 18-05. Following the emergence of the 2019-nCoV pandemic, this form of commerce experienced significant growth worldwide, particularly in Algeria, to the extent that electronic contracts began to replace traditional in-person contracts.
