Abstract

The existence of free, fair, and credible elections constitutes one of the fundamental pillars of modern democracy, which seeks to translate the will of voters into reality, considering them the original holders of the right to choose their representatives. To this end, the Algerian legislator has sought to surround the electoral process with a set of guarantees aimed at ensuring its credibility and integrity. In order to effectively implement these guarantees, the 2020 constitutional amendment assigned a prominent role to the Constitutional Court in the electoral process, whether in presidential elections, referendum consultations, or parliamentary elections. This article seeks to clarify the role of the Algerian Constitutional Court in the electoral process.
