Electronic commerce contracts are concluded in a virtual environment by means of remote communications. This distinctive character — which sets them apart from traditional contracts has compelled legislatures to surround them with a comprehensive legal framework. Accordingly, the Algerian legislature, through Law No. 18-05 on Electronic Commerce, has regulated every stage of the electronic commerce contract, from the manner of its formation to its execution, subjecting the conclusion phase in particular to stringent legal controls.
